Protect Pregnant Workers' Rights

The Pregnant Workers Fairness Act (PWFA) has made great strides in Congress over the last 6 months. But there are only a few weeks left in the year and pregnant workers in the U.S. still lack critical protections in the workplace. Too many employers can fire pregnant employees – or force them to quit or take unpaid leave – instead of providing temporary and reasonable accommodations. PWFA would help put a stop to this practice and protect the health and economic security of pregnant workers everywhere.

PWFA passed the House with significant bipartisan support and was reported out of the Senate HELP committee by a vote of 19-2. But we can't get to President Biden’s desk until the Senate passes the bill. Pregnant workers shouldn’t have to wait any longer. You can help us get there: Ask your senator to co-sponsor PWFA and push for its swift passage.
