2024 BIPOC Student Convening Participant Application

Thank you for your interest in applying for the very first BIPOC Student Conference in July 2024!

This convening is designed to bring BIPOC students from across West Virginia together to build community and work collectively to address the issues they're facing in their schools and communities. Participants will have opportunities to hear from community leaders, learn advocacy skills, explore career and educational opportunities, and more.

Specific information will be provided to participants, but the event will take place in Charleston, WV and the schedule will include a social and networking event on the evening of Friday, July 12, a full day of sessions on Saturday, July 13, and a half day of sessions on Sunday, July 14. For security purposes, specific details will be provided only to participants.

This convening is free to attend! Meals and lodging will be provided for participants and we will do our best to assist with transportation or other needs as we are able. We hope to make this event as accessible as possible, so please reach out if there is something you need in order to participate.

Spaces are limited and we encourage interested applicants to apply as soon as possible, but applications will be accepted until all spaces are full.

If you have further questions, please contact ACLU-WV Youth Organizer Oceanna Smith at osmith@acluwv.org.
