Youth Social Justice Forum Registration

On Saturday, November 13, from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. the ACLU of Wisconsin Foundation is holding its Youth Social Justice Forum. YoSo has taken place annually for over a decade and will be returning to a one day in-person event this year after being held virtually last year.

We will be providing, alongside some community partners, great programming on items such as public art, civics, government, racial equity, LGBTQ+ rights, restorative justice, and other topics relevant to youth rights and responsibilities. These workshops will be on specific topics and art techniques led by community activists and artists.

YoSo is completely free. All supplies including breakfast and lunch will be provided.

Eligibility: YoSo is open to all high school students with a preference for students enrolled in Milwaukee Public School District high schools.

COVID Procedures: We will require students and presenters to be masked while indoors. We will also have air purifiers running throughout the venue during programming.

Presenters: If you are interested in presenting a workshop at YOSO, please email the following to your contact information, a workshop title, a one paragraph description of your workshop explaining how your workshop is connected to civil liberties or civil rights and how you will specifically engage teenagers (for example, by using visual arts, storytelling, etc.), the ideal group size, and if you have any agencies or other partners who will be working with you.
