Apply for the ACLU of Texas’ Artist-in-Residence Program (2026)

The ACLU of Texas harnesses the power of arts and culture to boldly advance civil rights and civil liberties for every Texan. We invite Texas-based artists or artist groups working in any medium to apply for a 10-month residency to lead an arts-based project that advances strategic advocacy goals.

Be sure to review the structure and expectations of the program before applying.

The deadline to apply for the 2026 residency is Saturday, January 31, 2026, 11:59 p.m. CT. Applications will be reviewed in February and March. Artists should expect an update on the status of their application by the end of March.
