Let’s get to know each other

Hi, it’s nice to meet you! I’m Jett. I’m the new advocacy manager for the ACLU of South Dakota, and I look forward to getting to know you.

While I’m new to the ACLU, I’m no stranger to advocating for change and fighting for people’s rights. Before I moved to South Dakota, I was an AmeriCorps VISTA and Public Ally in my hometown of New Haven, CT. There I worked in community organizing and capacity building for the New Haven Legal Assistance Association and Neighborhood Housing Services of New Haven. I also volunteered with community placemaking organizations and engaged in organizing around ending police violence, increasing access to safe and truly affordable housing, and decriminalizing homelessness.

My work with the ACLU has a singular focus – to make South Dakota a better place to live for all of its residents. That's a lofty goal, to be sure – and the work I do will take many forms, including working in communities with activists, organizers, and change-makers across the state to create a more just and equitable world for everyone.

But I can’t do it alone. I need your help.

Fill out our form below, tell me what you’re thinking, and I will be in touch.
