Share Your Story About Working While Pregnant

We want to hear from people across North Carolina about their experience working while pregnant. If you currently or in the past have needed an accommodation at work due to pregnancy, we want to hear your story.

North Carolina is one of only four states that has no statewide protections against discrimination for pregnant workers. Pregnant workers should not have to choose between their health and economic security. We want to urge the North Carolina General Assembly to join 23 other states in passing statewide employment protections for pregnant workers who need reasonable accommodations.

Share your own experience and tell us what changes you think are necessary in order for our workplaces to be more inclusive and accommodating for people who are pregnant. For example, were you or your partner affected because your workplace did not offer workplace accommodations? What work protections or adjustments would have made the difference in your pregnancy?

We may follow up with you for more information. Please review our disclaimer below.
