Trans Storytelling Documentary Premiere

Transgender Mississippians are part of our families, schools, workplaces, neighborhoods, and communities. This documentary brings these voices together to create space for trans people to tell their own stories in their own words, beyond headlines, stereotypes, and political debates.

October 22, 2026, 6 p.m. – 8 p.m.
Capri Theater, 3023 N State St., Jackson, MS 39212

The ACLU of Mississippi's Trans Storytelling Project centers the experiences and perspectives of trans Mississippians while connecting those stories to the rights, policies, and everyday decisions that shape people's lives. Through conversations about identity, community, advocacy, and belonging, this project explores what it means to live authentically in Mississippi and what all of us can do to help build a state where everyone is treated with dignity and respect.
