Lobby St. Louis City Hall for Oversight Over Police Surveillance

Lobby your aldermen for effective oversight of police surveillance! We invite you to join us on Friday, May 4 to lobby for the Surveillance Accountability bill (BB66 from the 2017-2018) which requires any St. Louis City agency to get approval from the Board of Alders before purchasing surveillance technologies. The lobby day is being organized by the Privacy Watch Coalition of which the ACLU of Missouri is a member. Privacy Watch is a St. Louis coalition with the mission of ending over-surveillance by government and government/corporate partnerships.

Community Meeting on Surveillance
Tuesday, April 24, 6-7:30 p.m.
Central Print
2624 North 14th St
St. Louis, MO 63106

You should join us on for our lobby day because...

  1. We need legislative oversight over advanced surveillance technologies.

  2. The public should know how these technologies are being used so they aren't being abused!

  3. We have to protect our privacy rights.

  4. These technologies are expensive to purchase and to maintain. We have a right to know how much we are spending on these technologies and what they are being used for.

  5. We need to increase opportunities for the public to participate in discussions about how their communities are being policed.

If you have any questions about our lobby day, please email us at outreach@aclu-mo.org.

Help us spread the word by sharing Privacy Watch Lobby Day event page and the facebook event page.
