Have you been evicted or had an eviction filed against you? Make your voice heard – share your story.

Thank you for supporting Delaware Right to Representation for Eviction Defense (DE RTR)!

Our goal is to pass Senate Bill 1, legislation that would secure Delaware tenants' right to legal representation in evictions cases. When tenants are represented by legal counsel, they are twice as likely to remain housed.

This bill would also create an Eviction Diversion Program, requiring parties to mediate before the eviction is filed, to help resolve payment or other issues prior to a landlord filing for eviction. For more information on this legislation, visit our campaign hub page.

If you've been evicted or had an eviction filed against you, we want to hear about your experience navigating evictions filings, court, and/or the eviction process. Share your story to help level the playing field and get tenants the right to legal representation for eviction defense.

Please note: stories collected using this form will not be used without the storyteller's permission. If DE RTR would like to share your story, we will follow up with you for your consent.
