"Smart Justice: Year One" Documentary World Premiere
In 2018, a group of people who were directly impacted by the justice system came together to form the ACLU of Connecticut Smart Justice campaign. Their mission was huge. The opposition they faced was intense. Yet together, they made history.
“Smart Justice: Year One” is a film about the beginning of a movement, resilience in the face of steep odds, and the joy of people working to create a world that values people, not prisons.
Join Smart Justice on October 24 for the world premiere of “Smart Justice: Year One” at the Bow Tie Cinema in New Haven. Directly following the film, special guests will discuss making the film and Smart Justice. All attendees will receive a $10 voucher to use for the food or drink concessions of their choice. Tickets are free but space is limited, so reserve your tickets in advance to ensure your spot.
