The Future of the Voting Rights Act: Breaking down Louisiana v. Callais

Democracy requires fair representation.

On Wednesday, April 29, the U.S. Supreme Court eviscerated Section 2 of the federal Voting Rights Act, disregarding decades of precedent and weakening one of the last remaining protections against racial discrimination in elections.

With federal protections weakened yet again, now is the time for Delaware to step up and safeguard the voting rights of all its residents, especially communities of color.

Join us on Friday, May 8, from 12 - 1 p.m. for a virtual briefing as we come together to reaffirm our fight to protect and expand the right to vote.

Learn more about the Court’s harmful decision, the implications for voting rights across the country, and how you can get involved in our campaign to enact a state-level VRA in Delaware.
