Join the ACLU of Michigan to learn about the importance of meeting with your legislator to advocate for abortion access! This training will outline the different types of legislative advocacy methods, give tips on how to prepare for a chosen advocacy (meeting, hearing, etc.), and what to do once in your scheduled meeting with a legislator or their office.

Michigan voters overwhelmingly passed Proposal 3 in November 2022—enshrining the explicit right to reproductive freedom in our state constitution. But, for too many people, abortion access remains out of reach due to overly burdensome laws that block people from accessing care. Join the ACLU of Michigan for our Abortion Activist Series, where you’ll learn about the barriers to abortion care in Michigan and how you can talk with your lawmaker about expanding access to important healthcare. Each session will feature a call to action so that you can learn some of the most effective ways to advocate for abortion access.
