Volunteering with the ACLU of Connecticut means joining our growing team of dedicated advocacy volunteers, who help to usher in an era of a more fair, free, and just Connecticut.

Volunteer Interests

There are several ways you can help the ACLU of Connecticut. How would you like to get involved? (Please check all that apply)

Lobbying – write, call, and lobby your elected officials through phone calls, texting, letter-writing, emails, or in-person lobbying

Organizing – take a leadership role in bringing like-minded people together in your community by hosting an ACLU gathering. We can get in touch with you about what this might look like and how an ACLU gathering can be tailored to best fit the needs of your community.

Engagement – join our digital mobilizing team focused on increasing the visibility and awareness of our organization and pushing our supporters to take action by consistently engaging, commenting, and sharing our content on social media

Events – attend our actions and events when you can to help us run the event and potentially identify and recruit new supporters/volunteers.

You set the pace of your advocacy, and we want to meet you where you’re at. What does your capacity to volunteer look like?

Low-level capacity – I can participate in a volunteer action about one to two times a month.

Mid-level capacity – – I can participate in a volunteer action about three to four times a month.

High-level capacity – I can participate in a volunteer action more than five times a month.
