President Trump does not have the power to unilaterally declare war on another country. Only Congress does.

Yet that’s exactly what he’s trying to do: dodging the Constitution to launch a war with Iran with no authorization from Congress. But waging an illegal war is expensive – and President Trump expects the American people to foot the bill. The military relies on Congress to authorize supplemental funding to maintain war operations – and Congress must say no.

That's why the ACLU is demanding Congress refuse to give even one more taxpayer dollar to this unconstitutional use of force against Iran.
