Tell your state House representative: Don’t criminalize my vote

Act Now

Some politicians in Texas are trying to suppress Texans' votes by criminalizing participation in our democracy. Last week, House Bill 6 passed out of the House Elections Committee, moving it one step closer to becoming law in our state. If this bill passes, innocent mistakes made by voters, poll workers and election officials could be cause for extreme criminal prosecution. We can’t let this happen.

Email your state House representative now and tell them to stop this egregious attack on our right to vote. House Bill 6 is part of a national strategy to develop more barriers to our ability to exercise our right to vote. But there is still time to stop it from becoming law. Members of the House can prevent the bill from advancing. Email your representative now and tell them to say "No" to HB 6.

Use this form to send a unique message to your state House legislator. In your own words, tell your elected official why voting rights are important to you and why criminalizing Texans’ votes is wrong.
