TELL YOUR LAWMAKERS: OVERRIDE GOVERNOR'S VETO OF THE ABORTION ACCESS BILL

TAKE ACTION NOW

Governor Baker just vetoed policy that would expand equitable access to abortion. We can't let the Governor get away with rejecting a health care equity bill in the eleventh hour, on a holiday. Let's be clear: this is an affront to communities of color systemically impacted by barriers to abortion care. Our abortion laws in Massachusetts are broken, and in vetoing this bill, the Governor is upholding a broken system.

UPDATE: The House just voted to override the veto. Please take a moment to make sure the Senate does the same.

Your Message

I’ve just learned that Governor Baker has callously vetoed critical legislation to ensure equitable abortion access. I’m deeply disappointed that he has shown such disregard for the health and well-being of our residents, and I implore you: Please vote to override his veto.

In stark contrast, the legislature listened to us and supported abortion access time and again. Today, I ask that you once again defend the will of the people and override Baker's anti-choice veto.

Sincerely,
