Tell Gov. DeWine: Veto SB 104, Ohio’s Amended Anti-Trans Bathroom Bill

Take Action

On November 13, the Ohio General Assembly passed Senate Bill 104. We are now calling on Governor Mike DeWine to do the right thing and veto this harmful, anti-trans legislation.

SB 104 would require students in primary and secondary schools as well as institutions of higher education to use restrooms and other facilities that align with their sex assigned at birth. It would also prohibit them from sharing overnight accommodations with individuals of the opposite sex from their sex assigned at birth. This is yet another state-sponsored attack on transgender, gender-nonconforming, and intersex (TGNCI) youth and young adults.

Legislators have no business telling TGNCI people what restrooms or locker rooms to use. Transgender people who are forced to use the restroom or locker room that does not align with their gender identity risk being bullied, harassed, or outright targeted for violence. SB 104 would create an unsafe environment for TGNCI people across our school districts and college campuses.

TAKE ACTION: Contact Governor DeWine and tell him to VETO SB 104.
