The Trump administration is deploying masked deportation forces in our communities – and it's hurting all of us. Parents are being thrown to the ground and arrested in front of their toddlers, food delivery drivers are being attacked on our streets, and people are afraid to go about their daily lives. And because Congress has just injected $170 billion into these federal immigration agencies, we are about to see this deportation machine expand beyond anything we've ever seen. Already, ICE has shattered records – and families – by detaining more than 60,000 people. FBI agents, drug enforcement agents, and countless other law enforcement agencies around the country have been tapped to help carry out these inhumane raids.

We're drawing a line. Instead of spending billions of dollars to detain and deport people who are a vital part of our communities, we should be creating a legal process with a pathway to citizenship, so our neighbors don't have to live in fear of deportation. Tell Congress: Protect our communities from the masked deportation forces. Give our neighbors and loved ones a path to citizenship.

Masked deportation forces are smashing car windows, throwing people to the ground, forcing people in unmarked black vans, and refusing to explain who they are. They are arresting our neighbors and loved ones – and in too many cases, denying them access to lawyers and the ability to fight for their right to stay here.

It's never been more clear: Congress must pass a path to citizenship to protect our loved ones and neighbors from this reckless, cruel deportation drive. I'm calling on you as my representative to co-sponsor and support swift passage of legislation to do this, including the American Dream and Promise Act, H.R. 1589, and the Registry Bill, H.R. 4696/S. 2468.
