Tell SC Lawmakers: Drag is Not a Crime

Act Now

Drag is a form of creative expression just like any other. And just like other forms of creative expression – dance, fashion, and music – it is a form of personal expression protected by the First Amendment.

It's a fundamental principle of our democracy that the government can't discriminate against people or silence them based on the content of their speech. But that's exactly what drag bans do in an attempt to legislate the LGBTQ community out of public life.

Drag bans threaten our freedoms and take the power to decide what is appropriate entertainment away from businesses and individuals. It's up to us to stand up to government overreach, censorship, and attacks on self-expression and the LGBTQ community.
