With the Trump administration actively attacking the rights of women and trans people and many New York families living in fear, I’m writing to tell you it is crucial that you make sure these bills become law now. I urge you to pass these bills to protect New Yorkers' access to abortion and reproductive care while keeping New Yorkers safe.

Getting and providing health care leaves a digital trail. It is collected through fitness apps, phone records, search engines, period tracking apps, and many other tools that are part of our modern life.

Plenty of hostile states would love to get their hands on our data. The New York Health Information Privacy Act (S.9269/A.10357) will ensure New Yorkers – not big tech companies, bad actors, or government entities – have control over our intimate health information.

-- Promote Hospital Transparency

The Hospital Transparency Act (S.8965/A.10203) would give patients the ability to see what care hospitals in their area provide – including abortion and gender-affirming care. It would also lay the groundwork for increasing the accessibility of abortion and gender-affirming care statewide.
