Any day now, the Supreme Court could issue a decision that would roll back existing protections for LGBTQ people in the workplace, which could carryover to health care, housing and other contexts. But the Equality Act would explicitly prohibit discrimination based on sexual orientation and gender identity — no matter what the court decides.
