As your constituent, I believe I have a right to know who is on our streets, claiming to be law enforcement and harassing our friends, family and neighbors. No law enforcement should be operating with masks and without identification in our state.

The Law Enforcement Accountability and Visibility Act (LEAVA), addresses the important public safety issue of masked and unidentifiable law enforcement. This bill also includes free speech and discrimination protections by prohibiting Oregon state and local government employees from cooperating with federal attacks on free speech or lawfully-protected groups.

Please vote “Yes” on LEAVA (HB 4138-A) when it comes to the House Floor and help protect our communities, safeguard our civil rights, and strengthen public safety.
