Support Abortion Rights in New Hampshire

Act Now

It's been nearly two years since the New Hampshire legislature placed the government between pregnant people and their doctor by prohibiting abortions after 24 weeks (with minor exemptions). This year, lawmakers have an opportunity to repeal some of these restrictions and make progress in ensuring that abortion is accessible to all Granite Staters.

Healthcare decisions should be entrusted to patients and providers without government intervention or restrictions. That's why it's important that positive measures are taken to protect abortion access in New Hampshire.

The New Hampshire House has taken positive steps to strengthen abortion access by passing HB 88 and HB 224. Now, both bills will cross over to the New Hampshire Senate:

  • HB 88 – the Access to Abortion-care Act: This is a proactive bill that would place the right to have an abortion into state law. New Hampshire is currently the only state in New England without proactive protections for the right to abortion.
  • HB 224 – repeal the criminal and civil penalties from New Hampshire's current 24-week abortion ban: This bill would eliminate the threat to doctors providing life-saving care.

There's no time to wait – tell your State Senator and Governor Sununu to support abortion rights in New Hampshire!
