North Dakota: Stop Policing for Profit

TAKE ACTION NOW

The North Dakota’s House has approved House Bill 1286, legislation that would require a criminal conviction before authorities can seize cash or valuables they believe to have been involved in crimes. This legislation would substantially overhaul North Dakota’s civil forfeiture laws.

This bill could be heard on the Senate floor as early as next week. Contact your senator and tell them North Dakota shouldn’t be in the business of policing for profit.
