We have visited the ICE detention center and documented the gut-wrenching stories of people detained there. Some have shared stories about not getting enough to eat or enough time to eat the little amount of food provided. Others have told us about hearing fellow immigrants crying out for help with serious medical issues and seeing their pain ignored by facility staff for hours on end. There has also been one death at the facility.

We and our allies are urging Congress to act now to hold ICE accountable by authorizing an independent, expert-run investigation of North Lake.
