Pass Social Media Privacy Today

80% of us use social media, and we often use it to communicate with friends or family privately.

In March, our state Senate passed the Social Media Privacy Act to prevent employers from demanding access to our private social media accounts as a condition of employment.

Now we need the House to act. Tell your state Representative to pass the Social Media Privacy Act ASAP.

Everybody’s talking about online privacy. Today, I’m writing to ask you to actually do something about it.

Please urge House leadership to bring up the Social Media Privacy Act (H.158/S.2320) for a vote before the end of the session.

Twenty-six other states have passed equivalent legislation. We should be next.

Please urge Speaker DeLeo and Chairman Sanchez to advance the Social Media Privacy Act as soon as possible.

Thank you,
