To protect Bay Staters' safety, I implore you to pass legislation that will:

• Prohibit informal operational assistance to ICE.
• Ban new 287(g) agreements without exception.
• Prohibit law enforcement from asking about immigration status.
• Enhance protections at our courthouses.

Federal agents have been menacing immigrant communities and those of us who speak out against ICE's lawlessness for too long. I hope Massachusetts lawmakers will do everything in their power to shield our commonwealth from this violent federal organization.
