For many of us, having a driver's license helps us earn a living. Existing Massachusetts laws that take away driver's licenses for debt-based reasons only make it harder for people to earn money to pay back their debts and break out of cycles of poverty. What's more, these laws do nothing to make our roads safer.

The Road to Opportunity Act (H.3662 & S.2874) would end debt-based driver's license suspensions and create safety valves to protect people from being buried under insurmountable financial burdens.
