Oppose Voter ID Legislation

TAKE ACTION NOW

Voter identification laws are a part of an ongoing strategy to roll back decades of progress on voting rights. Ask your legislator to oppose Senate Bill 2, an attempt to deprive Kentuckians of the right to vote.

There’s an effort underfoot to bring strict voter identification requirements to Kentucky. While there’s no evidence these laws do anything to prevent fraud, we do know that they make it harder for people to cast their ballots, particularly the elderly, people with disabilities, low-income voters, students, and voters of color. Please oppose Senate Bill 2.

The right to vote is foundational in a democracy. Kentucky is already one of the most restrictive states in the country when it comes to voting rights by taking away voting rights of those with felony convictions. Let’s not reduce access any further.

Sincerely,
