Say Thanks to Elected Officials who Support Fair Elections

TAKE ACTION NOW

Senate Bill 2, the Mandatory Photo Voter ID Bill, will make it harder for Kentuckians to vote. The governor vetoed the bill, but legislators voted to override his veto. Laws like this are proven to reduce voter turnout and disproportionately affect people of color, the elderly, the disabled, people in rural areas, students, and low-income workers.

Please note: This law is NOT scheduled to go into effect until after the primary election on June 23, 2020. It is scheduled to be in effect before the general election on November 3, 2020.

Your Message

Thank you for opposing Senate Bill 2, the Mandatory Voter Photo ID Bill! Although the bill is scheduled to become law, we wanted to thank you for your commitment to free and fair elections. This law will hurt Kentuckians throughout the state, disproportionately harming people of color, the elderly, the disabled, people in rural areas, students, and low-income workers.

The right to vote is the foundation of a healthy democracy. I hope you will continue opposing voter suppression efforts and promote the restoration of voting rights for Kentuckians with past convictions, permanent no-excuse mail-in voting, automatic registration, expanded voting hours, and early voting.

I hope you, your family, and your staff are healthy, safe, and well.

Sincerely,
