End Mandatory Detention in ICE Custody

Right now, immigrants who have built their lives in this country are being detained for months or years with no chance to ask a judge for release. That's the result of the Trump administration's unlawful mandatory detention policy, which we're challenging now at the Supreme Court.
But Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) isn't slowing down. Despite continued abuses in custody, the administration is nearly doubling detention capacity with tens of billions in new funding. This expansion will only increase ICE's ability to arrest and deport people through raids on homes, workplaces, places of worship, and other community spaces.
Congress doesn't have to wait for a Supreme Court ruling to act. The Dignity for Detained Immigrants Act would end the administration's abuse of mandatory detention, stop the detention of children and families, and phase out private prisons profiting off human suffering. Tell your members of Congress to pass it now.
