In just the last year, the Supreme Court delivered two heartbreaking rulings for transgender youth and their families – one upholding bans on gender-affirming medical care and another upholding laws banning transgender women and girls from school athletics.

Since his first day in office, President Donald Trump began targeting transgender people and our families – censoring our speech, attacking our health care, making our schools less safe, and weaponizing the federal government to push us out of public life altogether.

The No Place for LGBTQ+ Hate Act would ensure that no federal funds could be used to carry out President Trump's discriminatory, unconstitutional executive orders targeting the LGBTQ community. This bill is the best way for Congress to stop President Trump's obsessive focus on us and block any new federal restrictions on our freedom to be ourselves.

Since his first day in office, President Trump has led a sweeping campaign against the very existence of transgender people and our families. Through executive orders and the policies of his administration, President Trump has coerced doctors into dropping their transgender patients, threatened to defund schools unless they discriminate against trans students, and censored doctors, scientists, teachers, workers, and artists who even mention our existence.

It's an unacceptable obsession, with very real consequences for already vulnerable people, which is why I'm urging you to co-sponsor and support passage of the No Place for LGBTQ+ Hate Act (H.R. 3708 / S. 1957).
