Politicians in the House of Representatives are planning to pass a budget framework called a “Budget Resolution” that would lead to $880 billion in devastating cuts to Medicaid and other programs. We must take action fast.

There are 70 million people currently enrolled in Medicaid who would be directly harmed by these malicious cuts. Medicaid provides healthcare to over 40 percent of pregnant people in the U.S. and supports 15 million adults with disabilities. It allows disabled people to live and work in their communities while avoiding dehumanizing institutions — and also supports millions of seniors in nursing homes and children with disabilities in schools. That is why we must act immediately to stop these budget proposals.
