Slipped into this bill is a dangerous provision that bans all state-level AI regulations for ten years with no federal alternative. The ban effectively ties states' hands regarding a technology that could touch all aspects of their constituents' lives – and gives tech giants and AI developers a blank check to experiment and deploy technologies without meaningful oversight or consequences.
