The message:

Since January, the Department of Defense (DoD) has removed nearly 600 books from school shelves, altered curricula, and canceled events that the Trump administration has accused of "promoting gender ideology" and "DEI" across the 161 schools it operates on military bases around the world. These actions jeopardize our students' education and punish schools for telling the truthful history of our country – while trying to force a political agenda into our schools.

The Trump administration cannot violate the First Amendment by banning books and curricula it doesn't like from DoD schools or any public school. And a bill in Congress would stop this – preventing the Secretary of Defense from making these decisions unilaterally and restoring these books to DoD-run schools and libraries.

This bill would be a major step towards defending students' rights and preventing more book bans – so we're calling on our representatives to pass it right away. Tell Congress: No book bans in military schools.
