If you are transgender and cannot legally change your name because of a felony conviction, the ACLU would like to hear from you. The information below is requested so that we may learn more about issues you have had with changing your name due to a felony conviction. Please describe any steps you have taken to change the gender markers on any of your identification documents (e.g., driver’s license, birth certificate, school ID), along with any barriers you have encountered.
