Our reproductive freedom is more threatened than ever. Anti-abortion politicians from state houses to the White House are pulling every lever they can to interfere with our personal medical decisions. Anti-abortion lawmakers in Congress have "defunded" Planned Parenthood, threatening access to birth control and cancer screenings for millions of patients and potentially shuttering up to a quarter of the country's abortion clinics. And that's not all: the Trump administration is considering restrictions on medication abortion that would make it harder for patients nationwide to get an abortion, even in states where that care is legal.
Make no mistake: this is a coordinated attack on our freedom to control our bodies and lives, and it flies in the face of the will of the people.
The vast majority of people in the U.S. – across party, gender, age, race, and religion – support abortion access and believe politicians shouldn’t interfere in our personal medical decisions. They've said so time and again, voting to protect abortion rights in states like Arizona, Missouri, and Ohio. Now we need Congress to take action to restore our rights and expand abortion access nationwide.
