TELL OUR STATE SENATORS TO END JUVENILE SOLITARY CONFINEMENT

Dear Senator,

We urge you to support LB230 (Pansing Brooks), a bill that would limit the use of juvenile solitary confinement in our state’s youth facilities.

The research is clear. Leading medical and child welfare experts agree that solitary confinement of kids causes psychological and developmental damage. It is time for Nebraska to join the 17 other states that limit the use of solitary confinement of kids.

Kids need human interaction, sunlight, adequate meals, mental health care, and love.

NOT solitary confinement.

Thank you for demanding more of our state’s facilities to protect the health and civil rights of Nebraska’s youth.
