For over a year, people across the country have been calling on bus companies to exercise their right to refuse consent for Border Patrol agents to search their passengers without a warrant. And for over a year, bus companies have said they don't have the authority to do so.
But now, Customs and Border Protection, the agency that oversees these agents, has stated that bus companies are under no obligation to allow their agents to board their buses. Now, bus companies have no excuse to let this violation of their passengers' rights continue.
In response, Greyhound has stepped up and said it would no longer continue allowing CBP agents to board its buses without a warrant.
But once again, Concord Coach has said that it will not prevent CBP from boarding its buses – even though it has the authority to say NO. By allowing these warrantless searches to continue, Concord Coach is complicit in this oppressive government overreach.
The Constitution prohibits government agents from entering private property without consent or a warrant, and it protects everyone on U.S. soil – regardless of citizenship – from racial profiling or being detained or searched without cause. Other bus companies have made the right decision to put the safety of their passengers first. Concord should do the same.
Sign this petition and tell Concord Coach to protect their passengers and stop letting Border Patrol on board. It's not only the right thing to do – it's the law.

To Ben Blunt, Vice President, Concord Coach Lines:
As you know, a recent memo from Customs and Border Protection confirms that bus companies "do not have to allow Border Patrol agents on board to conduct routine checks for immigrants[.]"
Your customers should be able to take the bus without fear of racial profiling and harassment. You have the ability to protect their rights.
Other bus companies are doing the right thing – making it clear that they will not allow Border Patrol agents to board their buses and question their passengers without a warrant. Now you have a chance to do the right thing too.
Please take immediate action to revise your policies and protect your customers. Stop allowing Border Patrol agents on your buses without a warrant.
