Pledge to Fight with Us at the Statehouse
We have a fight ahead of us in Alabama. In January, Tommy Tuberville will assume the state’s highest office as newly elected state lawmakers head to Montgomery to enact a regressive agenda that limits our civil rights and liberties. This session won’t be easy, but in the 2026 midterms we proved that together, we can fight back against their harmful vision for Alabama.
As the home of the Civil Rights Movement, our history has shown us that change is always made from the ground up, in our own towns and cities, when we show up. Whether it’s defending attacks on LGBTQ+ rights, standing up for our immigrant neighbors, or rallying for reproductive freedom, the ACLU of Alabama will be there. In 2027, we know what we are up against in the statehouse– and we are ready to take on the fight.
As we head into the 2027 Legislative Session, we need you with us now more than ever. Whether it’s in the courts, through community action, or continued lobbying, we won’t stop fighting until “we the people” means all of us. We hope you’re with us.
