Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ice) agents have shot another person.

Wilber Rafael Garcés Pérez. Lorenzo Salgado Araujo. Johan Sebastián Durán Guerrero. Renée Good. Alex Pretti. Ruben Ray Martinez. And now, Oscar Belgal, whose 5-year-old child was in the backseat when ice fired several rounds into his car and shot him in the neck.

Shooting people in their cars, especially with a child in the backseat, is appalling. Yet this kind of reckless violence is increasingly ice's go-to response. Videos from across the country show masked agents tearing parents from their children and tackling people to the ground. Without immediate intervention, we know this most recent shooting won't be the last.

ice has the audacity to claim their work is necessary for "public safety" while terrorizing our communities and shooting and killing our neighbors. Stephen Miller and President Trump's crusade against immigrants must end.

ICE shot a father in New York City. Several rounds were reportedly shot into Oscar Belgal's car, hitting him in the neck while a 5-year-old child sat in the backseat. This comes just weeks after agents in Texas shot Wilber Rafael Garcés Pérez. How many people will be shot or killed before Congress takes action and forces these agents off our streets?

Already this year, ICE has killed Lorenzo Salgado Araujo, Johan Sebastián Durán Guerrero, Renée Good, and Alex Pretti. Without immediate intervention, we fear Oscar's shooting will not be the last. Congress must act immediately to get these reckless, violent agents out of our streets.
