The message:
Our right to reproductive freedom was solidified earlier this year when the Wyoming Supreme Court ruled that two extreme abortion bans were unconstitutional. In their 4-1 decision, the court affirmed that "a woman has a fundamental right to make her own health care decisions, including the decision to have an abortion."
Of course, that didn't stop anti-abortion politicians from finding more ways to attack our freedoms. When the decision was announced, Governor Gordon called on the Wyoming Legislature to pass a constitutional amendment, stating that "it is time for this issue to go before the people for a vote."
But that's not what the legislature did.
Instead of taking it to the people for a vote, legislators passed HB 126. This bill would ban abortion after approximately six weeks of pregnancy – before many people even know they're pregnant.
We need to take action. Will you send a message to the Governor asking him to veto HB 126?
