Background

Arizona's voting system is designed to encourage voter participation by expanding access through mail ballots, early voting, and convenient options like on-site early ballot drop-off on or before Election Day. But House Concurrent Resolution 2001 and Senate Concurrent Resolution 1001 could flip that approach on its head. The ballot referrals repackage existing law and present it as a “new” policy for political points, and limits tried and true methods of voting from hardworking Arizonans.

The impact

Voting must remain accessible, not bogged down by bureaucratic red tape. Contact your legislators and urge them to vote NO on HCR 2001 and SCR 1001.
