January 2026: The pressure is working – after we sent almost 300,000 messages to Congress, the Senate blocked a bill that would have poured more money into ice without any real, enforceable accountability measures. But our work isn't done.

The background:

Now President Trump has caved and agreed to negotiate limits on ice and Border Patrol to add to the funding bill, so we need to keep up the pressure and tell our representatives to stand firm: No more money for ice without major reforms.

ice and Border Patrol are out of control and endangering our communities – now, even shooting and killing people like Alex Pretti and Renee Good in the streets while continuing to target anyone they think might be immigrants. For months now, communities in Minneapolis, Chicago, Charlotte, Los Angeles, and beyond have lived in fear as federal agents have arrested U.S. citizens, dragged children from their beds in the middle of the night, smashed car windows, and targeted protestors.

We can't wait around while ice harms more people. Congress MUST demand an end to these reckless immigration raids, and oppose any bill that would add to ice's already massive budget without reining in ice's lawless and abusive actions.
