Tell Nebraska Officials: No Partnerships with ICE
The McCook detention center. The Nebraska State Patrol supporting immigration enforcement. County sheriffs signing on to provide task force support to U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE). All of these have something in common.
Nebraska is directly supporting the Trump administration's mass deportation goals, reducing community trust, and hurting public safety through 287(g) agreements, a deportation collaboration program that puts local resources into immigration enforcement. Add your name to tell Gov. Pillen and other officials that these agreements must end.
All 287(g) agreements hurt community safety by diverting resources from local public safety needs and making some immigrant families fear coming forward when the're victims of crime. They also encourage racial profiling, leading some law enforcement officers to use someone's skin color as a reason for a stop or investigation.
Immigrants make our communities stronger. If you would like a role in defending our rights, loved ones, and neighbors, then add your name to our growing movement. From intel to advocacy opportunities, we'll send you what you need in the weeks and months to come.
