Backed by Governor Jim Pillen, some Nebraska politicians are trying to pass a bill that would mandate discrimination against transgender Nebraskans in schools, athletics, and across state agencies. The sex-redefinition bill, LB 89, wrongly declares that transgender Nebraskans are not who they know themselves to be under state law, and it would force them to be misgendered just to participate in day-to-day life.
