Donate to the Appalachian Queer Youth Summit

Being a kid is tough. Being a queer kid in Appalachia is its own kind of tough. That's why we're thrilled to be hosting our third Appalachian Queer Youth Summit camp in August of 2024.

This free camp will provide a space for LGBTQ-identifying youth and those from LGBTQ families to come together in community with one another as well as community leaders and allies from across the state. From learning how to effectively talk to legislators to crafting a public narrative, campers will gain important tools to organize and advocate for the issues that are important to them, culminating in a collective action developed by the campers. Perhaps most importantly, AQYS is a chance for queer young people in West Virginia to come together in community and be unapologetically themselves.
