We Fucking Love Free Speech: A Celebration of the First Amendment

To kick off AAPI Heritage Month, join us on Thursday, May 5, to celebrate the anniversary of Matal v. Tam and all things free speech. The event will start with live music and conclude with a panel of experts who will share more about this landmark SCOTUS victory, current free speech lawsuits in Ohio, and the recent onslaught of anti-free speech legislation at the Ohio Statehouse. You won’t want to miss it!

Guests include:

  • Simon Tam, author, activist, and bassist and keyboardist from The Slants
  • Joe X. Jiang, guitarist from The Slants
  • David Carey, ACLU of Ohio Deputy Legal Director
  • Gary Daniels, ACLU of Ohio Chief Lobbyist
  • Cindy Tomm, ACLU of Ohio Development Director and panel facilitator

A cash bar and complimentary light appetizers will be available. Please contact us if you have any dietary restrictions.

After the panel, our bona fide rock star, Simon Tam, will be available to personalize copies of his book: Slanted: How an Asian American Troublemaker Took on the Supreme Court.
