Assembly Ambassadors Application
Are you interested in legislative advocacy in California? Do you have strong communication skills and enjoy meeting with political leaders? If this sounds like you, apply for our Assembly Ambassadors program!
We are recruiting volunteers to advocate for ACLU of CA legislation, develop relationships with district staff, attend and host town halls, and collect information helpful for the ACLU Center for Advocacy & Policy. Volunteers will be trained on the legislative process, lobbying, and event planning.
Here is our timeline:
Feb. 28 at 12 PM- 1st webinar
March 4 at 6 PM- 2nd webinar
March 8- Application deadline
March 8-22- Short phone interviews
March 22- Accepted ambassadors notified
April 6- Training in Sacramento (day before our Conference & Lobby Day)
April 7-8- Conference & Lobby Day (not mandatory but highly recommended for all ambassadors)
We are accepting applications for the following Assembly districts: Aguiar-Curry (District 5), Cooley (District 8), Cooper (District 9), Frazier (District 11), Eggman (District 13), Grayson (District 14), Bauer-Kahan (District 16), Gray (District 21), Patterson (District 23), Chu (District 25), Mathis (District 26), Low (District 28), Rivas (District 30), Arambula (District 31), and Salas (District 32).
