Isaac Rethy Memorial Fund

Honor Isaac Rethy's dedication to fighting for justice and civil liberties in Mississippi by making a gift to the Isaac Rethy Memorial Fund.

"Soon after I joined the ACLU of Mississippi in September 2016, I met and began working with Isaac Rethy of Simpson Thacher & Bartlett LLP," Joshua Tom, Legal Director, said. "Isaac was a brilliant attorney, the best of colleagues, and a genuinely kind and thoughtful person. His impact in Mississippi was huge. He successfully improved policing in an entire county; he fought to protect the exercise of First Amendment rights; and at the time of his passing he was working to ensure that the composition of the Mississippi Supreme Court properly reflects and represents the State as a whole. I am so saddened by his loss but I am grateful that I had the opportunity to get to know Isaac and work with him to bring about meaningful and lasting change in Mississippi. My thoughts and prayers go out to his wife, young son, family, and friends."

All donations will support Civil Rights Litigation brought by the ACLU of Mississippi.
